So yum! This cozy counter service Filipino food spot offers a wide array of entree options that you can mix and match with your garlic rice bowl. During our visit, we tried out the crispy & savory fried milkfish Bangus, the tender and well-seasoned Bistec, the rich pork pieces in blood stew Dinuguan, and the crispy pork belly Lechon. Every dish was well seasoned and incredibly comforting. The garlic rice that came with the bowl had very generous portion too. We left very full and satisfied.

I love that Subo has been consistent with serving us good Filipino food. Edit: I tried their Fresh Lumpia because they have signs displayed that they serve it. Well, They don't know what fresh Lumpia is because the one served to me was sauteed, cooked and not what a fresh lumpia is. And it's wasn't tasty.

Priced very reasonably. Their breakfast (silog) bowls are 5.95 all day! At that price the bangus (milk fish) was smaller than expected. They did give a good amount of tocino. All the food we bought tasted very good. It you are feeling brave, they even have chocolate meat (dinaguang). Cracked me up that's what they had it listed as. We definitely will be going here again. If you live in the city, just take the brown line all the way to Kimball and Subo is across the street in a strip mall next to th laundry mat.

My first time visiting this establishment after it coming into my IG feed last night. Im so glad the 40 minute drive in a rain storm today was worth it. The Pancit was perfect, veggies werent undercooked, seasoned just right and the chicken and noodles were the star of the dish. The Chicken Lumpia didn't disappoint either. I had enough portions to take home for leftovers. I'll be back again soon for the Lechon

UPDATE: May 1 I ordered again for delivery. This time I added the BBQ chicken skewer to my regular order of lumpia and pancit. Again, wish the pancit had no lemon wedge because it makes things taste a bit sour. I should have probably called and asked them to omit it, but it didn’t occur to me. Also, I love cabbage in my pancit and Subo never has enough. It’s like cabbage scraps were just thrown in. I wish there was a side order of just steamed cabbage because I would order that to go with my pancit. The new item of the BBQ chicken skewer was super flavorful. I loved it, however, after I bit into it, I started ripping the chicken off the skewer with my fork. I found the chicken to need a bit more cooking for my liking. I thought it could’ve stayed cooking a couple more minutes for me. It still was a bit under/pink for me. All in all, good prices, good amount of food, I will continue to order. I ordered thru grubhub. This was my first time trying this place. I had 1 order of pancit. 1 order of lumpia. The lumpia was pork, but it had an odd flavor. Not that it was bad. It was just different...not the typical flavor I’ve had in my pork lumpia. The pancit also was good. Al of the food arrived super hot and fresh. The pancit also had a different flavor to it, but that didn’t make it bad. The cabbage in the lumpia was my favorite, but to be fair, I also love cabbage. There was a lemon wedge in the pancit that gave a strong flavor and odor to the pancit that I could have done without. Overall, I would certainly try this place again.
